This past June I had the great pleasure of competing in the 48 Hour Film Project. Twenty-two Local teams had 48 hours to write, produce, shoot and edit a film.

He has also worked on local theater and video productions coordinating sound effects and music. Ed Makowski (Sound Assistant) Ed is regular contributor of poetry, contemporary literature, and segments to Lake Effect on Milwaukee’s NPR station 89.7 WUWM Severn Anderson (Videographer) Severn is a current film student at the UWM’s Peck School of the Arts. Jeff Lahti (Videographer) Jeff is a Television Production Student at MATC. Also we must thank -(Production Assistants) Zoe Hurdle and Brian Davis and Elizabeth Falkowski lead us as our Continuity Supervisor.

Our film a suspense thriller entitled “Play’er Be Played” is set in the neighborhood of Riverwest, and features an all-original cast including;  Tracey Mannery “Manny”, Comedic relief Odell White as “Simon Taggert”, Shawn Payne as “Lavell”, Lakeisa Wintrey as Roxi, Vicki Partee as “ Precious”. Montell M Horton and Hugh Bent, along with John Peterson and Shatonya Alexander Payne-Boss.

The now award-winning theme “Chess Life” was written by local talents Bizzo (lyricist) and composer Gabe Hammer.  Their theme took BEST MUSICAL SCORE at the 48 hour film awards.

On June 23rd all teams had their films screened during the 48 Hour Film Fest at the Oriental Theater, Fornear photo covered the event
